Get answers to common questions about Microdermabrasion BODY.
Yes; we assess skin and customize settings. For sensitive or reactive skin we use gentler suction and milder crystals or diamond tips, shorter sessions, and calming post-care to minimize irritation while still improving texture and tone.
Most clients see smoother skin after one session, but 3–6 treatments spaced two to four weeks apart produce significant improvements in roughness, discoloration, and texture. Your therapist will recommend a personalized plan during consultation.
Treatment is generally comfortable; you may feel mild scratching and suction. Redness and slight sensitivity can last a few hours to a day. Most clients resume normal activities immediately, avoiding sun exposure and harsh exfoliants for several days.
Microdermabrasion can improve superficial acne scarring and mild discoloration by smoothing texture and promoting cell turnover. It has limited effect on deep scars or older stretch marks; combined treatments (peels, microneedling) may yield better results.
Avoid heavy sun exposure, tanning beds, retinoids, and strong exfoliants for at least one week before treatment. Arrive with clean, product-free skin. Inform your therapist about medications, recent procedures, or skin conditions for safe, tailored care.
Common temporary effects include redness, mild swelling, and increased sensitivity. Rarely you may experience light flaking or pinpoint bleeding on fragile skin. Follow aftercare instructions, hydrate, and use sunscreen; contact us if prolonged irritation or unusual symptoms occur.
